Rich Richardson is a senior vice president and the lead for the production, business management and corporate planning areas of the Honda Aircraft Company, LLC.

Richardson joined Honda in January 1997, at Honda of America Mfg., Inc. in Marysville, Ohio, now part of Honda Development & Manufacturing of America (HDMA), and over a 16-year period he served in various roles across human resources, including plant human resources manager and as HR leader for all Ohio-based plant locations, with responsibility for associate relations and labor relations, supporting more than 10,000 associates. During this time, Richardson led initiatives in organizational development, talent management, succession planning, leadership development and HR systems strategy.

In April 2013, Richardson became vice president and business division manager at Honda Manufacturing of Indiana (now the Honda Indiana Auto Plant within HDMA), where he was responsible for leading all support functions for the manufacturing facility, including IT, HR, corporate affairs, corporate planning, facilities, and accounting.

In March 2016, he was named division manager of regional planning at Honda North America, responsible for developing strategic plans for the North America region, supporting the sustainability office, and facilitating the regional operating board and operating committee.

In September 2017, Richardson became the assistant vice president of human resources at American Honda Motor Co., Inc., in Torrance, California.

In April 2019, he was promoted to vice president of human resources and in October 2023, he was promoted to senior vice president of human resources.

In October 2025, Richardson assumed his current role as senior vice president and production, business management and corporate planning lead of the Honda Aircraft Company, LLC.

Richardson holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from The Ohio State University and a Master of Arts in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of New Haven.
