Tanya Alloway is the vice president of the Human Resources Business Unit at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (AHM). In this role, she leads Honda human resources operations in the U.S., while also serving as AHM Compliance Officer and co-chair of the company's North American Diversity Steering Committee.
Alloway joined Honda in 1995 as a college intern in the human resources division of Honda of America Mfg., Inc. (HAM), supporting Honda manufacturing in North America. In 1997, she was hired by HAM as an associate in the human resources staffing department and served in a number of human resources roles across the company.
In 2016, Alloway was named department manager of human resources strategy and planning at HAM.
In 2018, Alloway was promoted to associate chief advisor within the HAM business division, with responsibilities for strategy development, business planning, and division communications.
In 2019, she was named department manager of regional manufacturing human resources at HAM, where she implemented HR systems to support a high-performing, technically advanced, and agile workforce across Honda manufacturing companies in North America.
In April 2021, with the establishment of Honda Development & Manufacturing of America LLC (HDMA), Alloway was named HR Business Unit Lead at HDMA with responsibilities across all Honda manufacturing companies in North America.
In August 2022, Alloway was promoted to vice president of human resources at HDMA.
In October 2025, Alloway assumed her current role as vice president of the Human Resources Business Unit at American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
Alloway also serves as president of the American Honda Education Corporation, which oversees Eagle Rock School and Professional Development Center, a full-scholarship, year-round, residential high school established by American Honda in the mountains of Estes Park, Colorado, to provide students ages 15-17 with an innovative learning experience.
Alloway holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
