The 2026 Honda Accord, Accord hybrid, Passport and Ridgeline have won “Best Cars for Families” awards from U.S. News & World Report. The publication’s editors have recognized each vehicle as the best in its respective category, wholeheartedly recommending them to buyers.
The turbocharged Accord captured the award for midsize cars for the fifth time, and this is the third win for the Accord hybrid in the Midsize Hybrid car class. The rugged Honda Passport took top honors in the Two-Row Midsize SUV category for the fifth time and Ridgeline earned the inaugural award for the Midsize Pickup Truck class.
Now with 43 total awards, Honda has won more “Best Cars for Families” trophies from U.S. News & World Report than any other brand. At least one Honda model has earned a “Best Cars for Families” honor each year since the award's inception in 2011.

U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Cars for Families” awards honor the cars, SUVs and minivans that offer the best combination of safety, reliability, space, comfort, convenience and connectivity in their class. The award methodology combines the vehicle's overall score in the U.S. News Best Car Rankings, safety and reliability ratings, seating and cargo volume, and the availability of family-friendly features. In each class covered by these awards, the vehicle with the highest composite score is named the Best Car for Families in that category.
