Hideto Yamasaki is the president & CEO of Honda Aircraft Company, based in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, he oversees all aspects of business operations, including sales, marketing, customer service, production, and HondaJet R&D.
Yamasaki joined Honda Motor Co., Ltd. in 1985 and spent the early part of his career in automotive sales operations in Japan, Mexico, and the United States.
During this time, he held a variety of roles within Honda automotive divisions, including at American Honda Motor Co., Inc., gaining experience across global markets and operations.
In April 2006, he returned to Japan where he served as manager of the Executive Secretariat Office at Honda Motor Co., Ltd., and supported a special assignment in developing business alliances.
In January 2009, Yamasaki became president and CEO of Honda Ukraine, where he established Motorcycle, Automobile and Power Products sales business.
In October 2010, he was named president and CEO of Honda Turkey A.S., leading Motorcycle and Automobile sales business, at a time when Honda also conducted auto manufacturing in Turkey.
In April 2018, Yamasaki joined American Honda Motor Co., Inc., as vice president of Auto Operations, later becoming senior vice president of Auto Sales.
In April 2020, he returned to Japan as an operating executive of Honda Motor Co., Ltd., serving in multiple roles, including the Executive Office, Automotive Operations, and the Corporate Planning Supervisory Unit.
In April 2022, Yamasaki assumed his current role as president & CEO of Honda Aircraft Company.
